The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s Homewood branch will hold the 2026 Children’s Literacy Summit on Saturday, October 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Attendees will be able to shape the future of literacy in the region. The summit brings together educators, librarians, and literacy champions for a day of conversations, fresh ideas, and connections.

Participants will explore proven and emerging strategies that support young readers, starting at birth, and leave with new tools to support literacy development and help to build a stronger future for children in the community.

The library is located at 7101 Hamilton Avenue. RSVP now.
