Reading Ready Pittsburgh will hold a Dolly Parton-themed event at the B is for Books store on Friday, September 25 - or 9/25 - to celebrate the singer, actress, and philanthropist’s legacy.

A Brighter Day: Celebrating Dolly Parton’s Legacy will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will include Dolly Parton Imagination Library sign ups, cookies, children’s activities, selfies with a Dolly stand-up, and a letter-writing campaign to state legislators in support of bringing the Imagination Library statewide.

The bookstore is located at 222 E. 8th Avenue in Homestead.
