Catch Buzzword at These Upcoming Events in Pittsburgh

Buzzword will take part in three events and host two others in September and October in Pittsburgh.

Tabling Events

Buzzword, a free literary source for families, will take part in three tabling events over the next two months.

On Sept. 7, Buzzword will have a presence at the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy’s Harvest Festival, which runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Frick Environmental Center. The event highlights the history and significance of the From Slavery to Freedom Garden.

Then, on Sept. 14, it will set up at Citiparks’ Alphabet Trail and Trails, which runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Frick Park Blue Slide Playground on Beechwood Boulevard at Nicholson Street. This event celebrates the best in children’s books, interactive story sets, art, music, and games for families.

Finally, visitors can catch Buzzword at Citiparks’ Track and Treat for Kids, which runs from noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 19. Attendees can bring their bikes or borrow one from Citiparks at this healthy lifestyle event. Visitors will be able to decorate their bikes, play games, or enter a Halloween costume contest.

Buzzword Events

Buzzword will host Family ENTERTAINMENT Night at the Clairton Family Center on Sept. 4 to celebrate the release of its new BUZZ Box. During the event, children and their caregivers will engage with each other to create meaningful moments through interactive activities provided by the Pittsburgh Festival Opera. Reading Ready Pittsburgh will have a table at the event, which runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

On Oct. 30, Buzzword will host GLIDE Creepy Crawler Night at the Northside Family Center. Activities will be led by the Carnegie Science Center and the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. The event will coincide with the Northside Family Center and Providence Connections’ annual Trunk-or-Treat event. All families will receive a GLIDE BUZZ Box.
